OUR CAPABILITIES

Learn more about how GDIT advances secure, global government supply chains.

Supply chain professionals have encountered disruption seemingly at every turn in recent years – from the global financial crisis of 2008 to the Covid-19 pandemic, to the Suez Canal obstruction in 2021. And Douglas Kent, Executive Vice President for Corporate and Strategic Alliances at the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), sees no signs of that trend changing.

“One thing we know is the level of disruption is not going down; there is no going back to normal. The number of demand and supply shocks to our system truly are unprecedented.” – Douglas Kent, Executive VP for Corporate and Strategic Alliances, Association for Supply Chain Management

That’s why GDIT’s Vice President of Diplomacy Nisa Moore, who oversees some of the largest direct supply chains and logistics operations for the federal government, recently sat down with Douglas to talk about what’s happening in logistics and supply chain and how industry and organizations like ASCM are responding to further standards, training and education, and resources in the field.

They discussed the role of technologies impacting digital supply chain, from AI and analytics to block chain and how to leverage them to drive resilience in supply chains. They also discussed the role of supply chain professionals in advancing critical initiatives around sustainability, continuity of operations, continuous learning and developing the supply chains of the future.
